A story of nature, tradition, and timeless beauty
In the heart of the Agro Romano, between Via Casilina and Via Prenestina, lies the Tenuta Pantano Borghese, one of the oldest and most captivating agricultural estates in the Roman countryside. Founded over four centuries ago, the estate was acquired by the historic Borghese family in 1613. In the 19th century, thanks to a significant hydraulic reclamation project, it became possible to cultivate these once marshy lands: an inheritance that still lives on today
in the fields and stables of the farm. Today, Federico Cavazza, an agronomist and direct descendant of Donna Livia Borghese Cavazza, is at the helm of the farm. With passion and expertise, he leads a sustainable and high-quality production, which includes fresh milk for the Roman market and traditional cereals typical of the Agro Romano, following farming methods that respect the land and its traditions.

The outdoor spaces, evocative and rich in history, offer scenes of rare beauty: from the impressive remains of the 3rd-century AD Acquedotto Alessandrino, to the meticulously maintained gardens, shaded clearings dotted with centuries-old cork oaks, and vast stretches of cultivated fields. The Acquedotto
Alessandrino, built in 226 AD by order of Emperor Alexander Severus, stands as a testament to the engineering prowess of ancient Rome. Stretching 22 kilometers, it transported over 240 liters of water per second to the baths in Campo Marzio. Its striking presence within the estate gives the location a solemn and timeless aura, making it the perfect setting to celebrate special moments in a truly unique environment.
